A residence permit does not automatically make a person tax resident, and a passport does not by itself determine tax residence. Outcomes depend on domestic law, day counts, family and business connections, treaties, and personal facts.
Ask separate questions
Where may I live? Where am I tax resident? Where must I report income and assets? Which country may tax a business, property, investment, or employment income?
Keep travel and evidence records. Obtain tax advice before relocating, transferring assets, selling a business, or making a qualifying investment. Marketing terms such as “tax-free” are not a personal tax analysis.
